Founded in 2015, UDS emerged as a pioneer in South Africa’s drone industry, navigating the newly promulgated Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) regulations under Part 101. Through relentless dedication and collaboration with the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), UDS proudly secured the nation’s first RPAS Operator’s Certificate (ROC) in October 2015. This milestone, underpinned by our unmatched expertise and operational rigor, enabled us to expand our scope to serve commercial clients, starting with mines and industrial facilities, and eventually achieving nationwide operations.
